Faculty Development Program on

Introduction:
Siva Sivani Degree College organized a Faculty Development Program (FDP) on the topic “A Comprehensive Research Methodology in Commerce” for faculty members. The FDP aimed at enhancing the research skills of faculty by providing a thorough understanding of research methodologies relevant to commerce. Dr. Indrakanti Sekhar, Professor from the Department of Business Management, Osmania University, was the keynote speaker for the program.

The program commenced with a welcome address by Principal Mrs. P. Mamatha. She highlighted the importance of research in academia and the need for faculty to be well-versed in research methodologies to support the college’s academic vision. - Keynote Address:
Dr. Indrakanti Sekhar delivered an insightful keynote address on the fundamentals and advanced techniques of research methodologies in the field of commerce. He discussed critical components such as: - Theoretical and practical aspects of research design.

- Data analysis using various statistical tools.
- Effective strategies for publishing in reputed journals.
Dr. Sekhar also emphasized the importance of adhering to ethical standards in research and maintaining the integrity of data.

The FDP included an engaging interactive session where faculty members posed questions regarding specific challenges they face in research. Dr. Sekhar addressed topics such as handling large datasets, selecting appropriate research models, and overcoming publication hurdles.
