EDC Food Startups
The EDC Food Startup Initiative was inaugurated by Dr. Sailesh Sampathy, Vice President & Dy. Chief Executive, S.P. Sampathy’s Siva Sivani Group of Institutions, Smt. Deepika Sampathy , Associate Vice President , Smt. P.Mamatha , Principal of Siva Sivani Degree College, Mr. Ananda Reddy , Vice Principal of Siva Sivani Degree College , Department Heads marking an important milestone in fostering experiential entrepreneurship. The inaugural event featured 6 student teams who set up their stalls opposite RK Café, behind Siva Sivani Degree College, presenting a variety of innovative cuisines.
Subsequently, the initiative expanded into real-time market environments. Four teams showcased their products on 18th February, followed by eight teams on 19th February, establishing stalls across prominent locations such as Suchitra, TNR Mall, near Kass Restaurant, Decathlon, and surrounding areas. The stalls operated from 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM, providing students with extended customer engagement and practical business exposure.
This dynamic activity enabled participants to gain hands-on entrepreneurial experience, understand consumer behaviour, experiment with pricing strategies, and receive direct market feedback—thereby strengthening their confidence and startup readiness.
