Dance is an art form consisting of sequences of body movements with aesthetic and often symbolic value, either improvised or purposefully selected. Dance can be categorized and described by its choreography by its repertoire of movements or by its historical period or place of origin.
Dance is a powerful impulse channelled by skilful performers into something that becomes intensely expressive and that may delight spectators. It is a rhythmic way, usually to music and within a given space for the purpose of expressing an idea or emotion, releasing energy or simply taking delight in the movement itself.
